Healthcare

Our Medical, Dental & Vision Plans are provided by CareFirst, BlueCross, and BlueShield.

We offer three medical plan options, including the BlueChoice Advantage Network for our remote workers living outside of Maryland.

R3 contributes 90% towards the cost of these plans for employee-only coverage.

Our Preferred Dental coverage allows our team members the freedom to see any dentist they choose. By choosing a dentist in the Preferred Provider Network, they incur the lowest out-of-pocket costs.

They also have access to an online directory 24 hours a day.

While staying in the Blue Vision Plus network gives our employees the best benefits, our plan also offers an out-of-network allowance schedule as well—giving them the freedom to see any provider they wish.

Benefits include one pair of eyeglasses or a supply of contact lenses per benefit period, with a website offering a wide array of contact lenses, easy, convenient purchasing online, and quick shipping.

Our Employer (ER) Life Insurance covers Accidental Death & Dismemberment, Long-Term Disability, and Short-Term Disability.

In addition, we now have a great Employee Assistance Package (EAP)! This can be used for any challenges with stress/mental health & substance abuse, marital and family problems, workplace challenges, elder care, and childcare decisions. The EAP can be used for any members of our employees’ households.

Time Off

It is important to us here at R3 that our employees have time off to do whatever they need or want in their everyday lives. Family situations, health issues, and vacations all require time off from work. Therefore, a plan has been created to allow the employee the work/life balance they need.

R3 observes the holidays listed below. Regular, full-time employees are eligible to receive holiday pay upon hire. If a holiday falls on a normally scheduled workday, regular part-time employees will be paid for that holiday based on their typical scheduled work hours.

  • New Year’s Day 
  • Memorial Day 
  • Independence Day 
  • Labor Day 
  • Thanksgiving Day
  • Day After Thanksgiving
  • Christmas Day

We encourage our employees to take time off for vacation every year. And if they can’t for some reason, our team members can carry over a maximum of 40 Hours PTO from one year to the next.

New employees will start accruing PTO immediately, but may not take paid time off during the first 90 days of employment.

Our leave of absences policy includes the federal standard when it comes to maternity and paternity leave, as well as military leave.

Giving back to our community is a core value of R3 and we appreciate when our team takes time to make the world a better place.

Retirement and 401(K)

R3 provides a 100% match on the first 3% deferred in 401K or Roth and a 50% match on the next 2% deferred for all full-time employees.

Matching contributions and profit-sharing contributions vest as specified below: 

  • Less than two years of vesting service: 0% 
  • Two years but less than three years of vesting service: 20% 
  • Three years but less than four years of vesting service: 40% 
  • Four years but less than five years of vesting service: 60% 
  • Five years but less than six years of vesting service: 80%
  • Six or more years of vesting service: 100%

Personal development

R3 will pay for certifications related to your job, including certifications, technology training, other related training incentives and bonuses, as well as career planning.
